Arthur Dubowicz studied in Munich, Passau, and Berlin (Germany). He received a Master in Media and Political Communication at Freie Universität Berlin. In his Master-thesis he focused on crisis communication in the media during the financial market crisis in 2008.
During his studies, Arthur Dubowicz worked in several positions in the fields of applied media research (http://www.goefak.de/) and the trade fair business (http://www.messe-muenchen.de/). Furthermore he had the opportunity to gain work experience doing several internships mostly in the fields of journalism, communication, event organization, and political institutions.
Since 2011 he is involved as a Research Associate in the research activity at the Institute of Communication and Health at the Faculty of Communication Sciences. His position is financed by the Swiss National Science Foundation where he also attends the Pro*Doc Graduate School on
Adaptivity in Communication and Health (http://www.comhealth.ch/). The Ph.D. project is in the field of health literacy measures and doctor-patient communication.
In the academic year 2011/2012 he served as Ph.D. representative to the Faculty Council.
Arthur Dubowicz has been granted the Doc.Mobility Fellowship by the Swiss National Science Foundation for a full year to continue his research at the Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, MA, USA starting in October 2013 for a full year.
