For serious reasons, such as maternity, mandatory military or civil service, illness, or other situations recognized by the Faculty as significantly compromising the regular course of studies, students may obtain leave of absence for one or more semesters.
Students on leave maintain their registration by paying a reduced tuition fee of CHF 100 per semester, and retain the benefit of legitimate student status. However, they may not attend any educational activity, nor sustain exams.
During maternity leave, however, it is always possible to sustain exams for the courses already attended.
