The course explains Lugano´s communication philosophy and gives an introduction into the major concepts of communication in the field of tourism. These concepts are explained by the presentation of selected issues in tourism such as the communication mix, the promotion of brands and the management of crisis. Experts from the World Tourism Organisation, Switzerland National Tourism Office and the Italian Touring Club will present their cases.
