This degree offer an unique opportunity for at the same time to have a focused and in depth program in the health sector while at the same time gain a broad understanding of how business and marketing function operate. This is combined with the opportunity to study in two different cultures, on the east cost of the USA as well as in Lugano, based in the Italian speaking part of Switzerland which combines the Northern and Southern European cultures.
You will receive two master degrees from this program upon completion of the program. Virginia Tech will award you a Master of Science of Business with a concentration in Marketing and a Master in Communication Management and Health from University of Lugano.
The primary job market for candidates from this degree is the market functions of pharmaceuticals, bio tech companies, insurance companies, government and other organizations in the health sector where the combinations of analytical skills and understanding of the health sector will provide a competitive advantage. However, the skills and knowledge obtained from the degree can also be used in many other areas such as communication, management, marketing and other market related functions.
