After many years of mutual understanding, in the last few years, due to reasons difficult to be controlled by the authorities, a certain confrontation is arising in the society between Occidental world and Islam, in spite of so many reasons that closely link Occident, particularly Europe, to Arab countries. Though this project we want to contribute to promoting dialog and understanding between both cultures, by improving Arabic language skills among European citizens and a better knowledge about Arab culture. The IMS (Institute for Mediterranean Studies) coordinates socio-cultural contents focusing specifically on migratory flows from Arab Muslim countries to Europe and their presence and interaction with hosting societies.
