Biografia:
Marco Bardus is a Post-doctoral Researcher in the BeCHANGE Research Group, Institute for Public Communication (ICP), Università della Svizzera italiana. Marco obtained his PhD in Communication Sciences in 2012, under the supervision of Prof. L. Suzanne Suggs. His dissertation investigated the effects of Theory of Planned Behavior guided e-mail and SMS communication on physical activity in workplaces. His work combines his passion for real world innovative applications with his interest in scientific research in health communication. Marco is interested in new technologies, mobile applications and Web 2.0 tools and services; in particular, fitness-related tracking and monitoring devices and applications. In addition to research activities, he is a teaching assistant for the master’s level Social Marketing Course, taught by Prof. Suggs, reviewer for Health Promotion International, ICA Health Division Conference, and serves on the Communication working group of the European Social Marketing Association.
