Public speaking: an open lecture for the community

An open presentation of the "Public Speaking" skills course will take place on Wednesday, 27 May, from 2:30 to 3:00 pm. Led by Dante Carbini and Demis Quadri from Accademia Teatro Dimitri, the event will be held in Room 250 of the Main Building (West Campus Lugano). The event will feature Bachelor in Communication students who will give short presentations on topics of their choice, putting into practice the skills they have acquired during the semester.

The presentation marks a significant moment in their educational journey, offering an opportunity to test their communication skills in public within a context that values integrating verbal expression, emotional control, and body language.

The course focuses on developing expressive and perceptive skills through practical exercises, theatre games, and body- and vocal-awareness techniques. The activities, guided by the lecturers, allow participants to explore breathing, tone of voice, posture, and pauses as fundamental tools of communication.

The invitation is extended to the entire university community.
