Professor Matthew Hibberd will chair the jury of the Montecatini Prize for Journalism 2025

Professor Matthew Hibberd, Dean of the Faculty of Communication, Culture and Society at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) has been invited by the non-profit association UNUCI to chair the international jury that will confer the Montecatini Prize for Journalism 2025.
The prize, awarded by a jury led by Dean Matthew Hibberd, will honour a European journalist who has made exceptional contributions to news coverage from war zones in Europe or around the world during 2024. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place in Montecatini Terme, Tuscany, Italy, in the spring of 2025.
Some students of the Master in Media Management could also be part of the jury.
In 2023, the Montecatini Prize for Journalism was awarded to American journalist Alan Friedman for his book "The Price of the Future."
UNUCI is a non-profit, non-partisan organisation representing former officers of the Italian armed forces. It organises the annual Cerruglio Prize and the Bookfest cultural festival in Tuscany, Italy.
