Institutional Communication Service

17 February 2025

On 17 March 2025, Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) will add two new figures to complete the Faculty Manager structure. This team is introduced to enhance support for the Faculties, their training programmes, and the corresponding Institutes. This milestone marks a crucial advancement in academic management, aiming to enhance the coordination of activities and foster collaboration among the University's various operational areas.

The Faculty Managers will oversee financial management, coordinate administrative processes, and engage with University Services, thereby enhancing activity efficiency and contributing to educational planning.

Currently, the team is made up of:

  • Monica Link, Faculty Manager of the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences
  • Elisa Larghi, Faculty Manager of the Faculty of Informatics

Starting from 17 March 2025, they will be joined by:

  • Anna Giovanetti, Faculty Manager of the Faculty of Communication, Culture and Society. She has a degree in Business Administration from Carlo Cattaneo LIUC University and a Master's in Marketing from USI. She has gained significant experience within the University, initially in the Career Service and subsequently as Marketing Manager in the Study Advisory and Promotion Service. Her in-depth knowledge of the university context and its development is an added value for the Faculty.
  • Carol Baggiolini, Faculty Manager of the Faculty of Economics. An alumna of USI with a Bachelor's degree in Communication and a Master's degree in Human Resources Management & Business (Aston University, UK), she has worked in the private sector and, since 2023, has been working at the University of Oxford as Head of HR for the Department of Biology. Previously, for three years, she had held the role of HR Manager in the Department of Materials, also at the University of Oxford. Her experience in human resources management and strategic planning will enrich the team with an international perspective.

At the Academy of Architecture, the Administrator – in the person of Antoine Turner – will take on the areas of responsibility for managing the Faculty.

With this new structure, USI will have a cross-disciplinary resource that will strengthen support for academic activities, promoting increasingly effective and coordinated management.
