It is possible to apply to become a member of the USI Academic Senate, the central body of the academic fabric, which aims to strengthen the cohesion of the University. Applications for the election of new representatives can be submitted from Thursday, 17 April 2025, until Saturday, 10 May 2025. Your voice is important to make a difference.
The Senate includes representatives from all areas of the University: 10 faculty representatives, 5 Assistant representatives, 5 student representatives, and 5 staff representatives.
The elections will take place digitally from 13 to 27 May through the website www.senato.usi.ch, which can be accessed with your eduID.
Over the years, the Academic Senate's role has significantly expanded, becoming a more influential and central body due to various powers delegated by the University Council.
It should be noted that the student representatives elected to the Senate are by right members of the governing body of the Student Corporation, a role that represents an opportunity for enrichment of one's educational path, growth and participation in academic life.
