From 1 to 5 September 2025, Rete Due dedicated the first series of the new Alphaville to Cesare Pavese, 75 years after his death.

The series, titled "Don't gossip too much. 75 years after Pavese's death", was curated by Giacomo Jori, professor at USI Institute of Italian Studies.

The approach proposed by Professor Jori is inspired by what Pavese himself called "myths" – and not simply themes – around which much of his literary work developed. The five episodes were dedicated respectively to myth, work, celebration, sacrifice and maturity.

An opportunity to re-read Pavese's work through some of its fundamental categories, which the Turin-born writer skillfully interwove with his critical and editorial commitments.

All episodes are available on the RSI website at this link (Italian only).
