Graduation Ceremony of the Lugano Faculties - May 2026

The graduation ceremony of Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), which brought together all the Faculties of Lugano, took place on Monday, 11 May 2026, at the LAC (Lugano Arte e Cultura). In the presence of institutional and political authorities, Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees were awarded to 276 students from 35 nationalities.

The event took place in the presence of institutional and political authorities, featuring speeches by Gabriele Balbi, Rector of USI, Massimo Zenari, Director of the Division of Culture and University Studies, and Roberto Badaracco, Deputy Mayor of Lugano.

The new graduates of the Bachelor's (75), Master's (149), and Doctoral (52) programmes were announced in the presence of the directors and coordinators of the study programmes.

During the ceremony, Silvia Invrea, Head of the USI Alumni Service, also gave a speech.

The ceremony featured musical interludes performed by Scuola di Musica Moderna (SMUM).
