Acting on a request from the student representatives and thanks to the cooperation of the administration, starting from 6 May, the Lugano campus will make some classrooms available after the lectures, for group work and individual study.

The initiative to increase study space has been carried out by the Pro-Rector for Education and Students' Experience, Lorenzo Cantoni. During the semester the following classrooms will be open: for workgroups, rooms 250, 251, 253, 254 (main building, level 2), Monday to Friday from 5:30 pm to 10 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 6 pm, with the exception of special events; for individual study one or more classrooms will be open daily, subject to availability. Rooms and times for individual study will be shown on the screen in the main building entrance.

From the end of the courses and during exams, rooms 250, 251, 253, 254 will be available for individual study and will be open 24/7. Additional classrooms will also be open, subject to availability.

Students are required to leave the classrooms clean and tidy at all times, as they are meant for studying and group work only. In case of misdemeanor the University reserves the right to discontinue their use.

Please note that our campus currently has a number of study areas, listed at: www.desk.usi.ch/study-areas
