East Campus Sports Hall is a reality

Following the regulations decided by the Federal Council on 8 September 2021, access to the Sports Hall will only be allowed to users in possession of a Covid certificate/ Green pass.
The East Campus Sports Hall is finally a reality. On Saturday afternoon 18 September 2021, from 1.30 p.m., the East Campus Sports Hall was officially opened with classes and activities open to the entire USI and SUPSI community. With 2 large halls (Courses Room and Fitness Room), 2 changing rooms with showers and all facilities, the Sports Hall will allow living a 360° sports experience within the University.
All activities are open to USI/SUPSI staff and students. Classes, which have a limited number of participants, are on a "first come, first serve" basis.
More general information on the new East Campus Sports Hall
The USI Sports Hall is a space dedicated to all USI and SUPSI students and staff, accessible by subscription and presentation of their university card.
The USI Sports Hall has two large halls (Courses Room and Fitness Room), 2 changing rooms with showers and all the facilities.
The instructors will be ready to welcome members with personalised programmes, fitness tests and group lessons.
Opening hours: Monday - Sunday from 6 am to 11 pm (last access allowed at 10 pm, fitness and classes rooms closing time 10.30 pm)
Location: East Campus, Sector C, Floor -1 (below the canteen).
From when: the Sports Hall will be officially opened on Monday, 20 September 2021 with the beginning of the new academic year.
The Fitness Room is a 200m2 space dedicated to individual training. The latest generation of equipment from Technogym, the world's leading fitness brand, is available to users:
- 11 cardio machines (3 Treadmills, 3 Bikes, 2 Synchro, 1 Spinning Bike, 2 RowErg)
- 14 isotonic machines (Technogym Selection Line)
- 1 castle for calisthenic training
- 1 castle with cables for multifunctional exercises
- Free zone for weight and functional training
The Courses Room is a space of 160m2 in which group classes will be held for postural training, cardio training, strength training and dancing.
The room is equipped with a full range of state-of-the-art equipment as well as a technical, anti-shock and shock-resistant floor designed to maximise impact absorption and supported by a top-quality video and audio system for musical fitness classes and virtual classes.
