USI participates in Piazza Digitale
Institutional Communication Service
2 November 2021
On 8, 9, and 10 November 2021, USI will participate in Piazza Digitale at the Scuola Cantonale di Commercio of Bellinzona.
The Fair-conference brings together every year academic institutions, the economic world, teachers and students of the Scuola Cantonale di Commercio. The event takes place on Swiss Digital Day.
The Università della Svizzera italiana, with its Faculty of communication, culture and society, will take part in the event with the following activities:
- 8 November
Nonverbal communication in the digital era, with Federico Lucchesi
We are used to give strong importance to words and tone of voice, but the primary impact of communication remains nonverbal. In a historical period in which, despite our will, we continue to adapt distance learning as well as virtual exams and meetings, is it still possible to communicate efficiently with body language? And, above all, how conscious are we in front of a webcam? A short introductory presentation with theory, practical examples,… and catastrophes!
- 9 November
The project “Macchi Picchu”; UNESCO Chair, with Silvia De Ascaniss, and Anna Picco Schwendener
Project “Machu Picchu through the lens of Fernando Astete”, developed by the UNESCO Chair of USI in Lugano. Through the technique of storytelling will be presented photographs taken by the Peruvian anthropologist at the heritage UNESO site, which are witnesses of the continuous work of maintenance and care of the site and raise awareness on social and cultural sustainability.
- 10 November
Virtual escape room “The law of the web”, with Giorgia Mora, Stella N’djoku, and Stefano Tardini
Escape room-style activity. Participants will play on iPads about topics regarding various legal aspects of the use of the Web. The focus of the activity relies on the valorisation of one’s individual rights, instead of bans.
A detailed programme of the event is available at the website www.sccbellinzona.ch/index.php?id=634
