Now in its second year, the Master of Advanced Studies in Business Law is being offered for the first time jointly by SUPSI, through its Tax Law Competence Centre, and USI, through its Law Institute, and will confer a joint USI-SUPSI degree. The course will be presented on Tuesday, 18 April 2023, from 5:30 p.m. at the SUPSI Tax Law Competence Centre.

The presentation will be given by Samuele Vorpe Prof. Dr. iur., Head of the SUPSI Tax Law Competence Centre, Head of MAS Tax Law & Business Law and Annamaria Astrologo, IDUSI Full Professor and Academic Head of the Ticino Observatory on Organised Crime (O-TICO) at USI.

The MAS Business Law aims to specialise the role of the business lawyer and to provide business managers and industry professionals with the necessary legal knowledge. These experts will be able to deal with legal issues that may arise in the company-stakeholder relationship, as well as proactively address risks and disputes that may arise on a daily basis. This MAS, offered in collaboration with the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), is also composed of three CAS: Legal Foundations of Business, Business Law Background and Business Planning and Risk.

The MAS is divided into three independent one-year courses, called Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS), at the end of which the students write a master's thesis.

The lectures, which take place every Wednesday evening and occasionally on Saturday mornings, enable participants to combine education with professional activity.
