A warm welcome to Jan-Hendrik Bucher who just joined IMCA as a postdoctoral researcher

Jan-Hendrik Bucher recently earned his PhD in Management from the University of St.Gallen. His qualitative research, situated within Consumer Culture Theory, explores how consumer knowledge is both constructed and contested in the marketplace.

Hi! I am excited to join IMCA as a postdoctoral researcher on the SNF project “Investing in Meaning: How Symbolic Meanings Shape Lay Investor Stock Choices” working alongside Prof. Léna Pellandini-Simányi. Passionate about uncovering market and consumer insights that drive meaningful impact, I am eager to explore how perceptions of meaning and value shape investment decisions. At the same time, I look forward to many inspiring, enriching, and fun exchanges at IMCA and USI.
