Academic Conference - Fashion communication: between tradition and future digital developments

From the 21st until the 26th of July 2019 is going to take place in Ascona (Switzerland) the academic conference “Fashion communication: between tradition and future digital developments”, organised by USI Università della Svizzera italiana in collaboration with University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and ISEM Fashion Business School.
The conference is going to be hosted by the prestigious Congressi Stefano Franscini, conference platform of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Zurich, and will be chaired by prof. Lorenzo Cantoni (full professor at USI - Faculty of Communication Sciences and director of the Institute of Digital Technologies for Communication), prof. Francesca Cominelli (Director of IREST - Institut de Recherche et d'Études Supérieures du Tourisme and lecturer in Economic Sciences at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne), Nadzeya Kalbaska (PhD and academic coordinator at USI - Institute of Communication Technologies) and prof. Teresa Sàdaba (Dean and professor at the ISEM Fashion Business School - University of Navarra).
The conference is a major academic event, which aims at promoting theoretical and empirical interdisciplinary work on how various communication practices impact upon fashion industry and societal fashion-related practices and values. In particular, the relation between tradition and innovation, as well as the impact of new technologies, digital communication and the internet will be under scrutiny.
The conference is addressed to academics researching in the domain of fashion communication. Those wishing to participate to the conference are kindly invited to submit their papers by the 18th January, 2019. The selected papers are going to be published in a Proceedings volume by Springer.
